SCOM Takeover

April 2023

In teams of four, we were given information to cover regarding the MedTalks event we were putting on at the end of the month. Our goal was to advertise what the event was about, and encourage more people to get tickets to attend. My group took over the Science Communication Facebook and Instagram pages for the first week of April, and gave a general outline of what the event was about, and what people could expect from it. We later looked at the analytics for our takeover to prepare a campaign report on how our takeover went.

I took on the graphic design of the post templates for my group to use for our content, as well as wrote the copy for one of the four posts we shared that week, including descriptive text (see below). I was also a part of filming and editing stories together, where we interacted more with followers by posting videos of ourselves advertising the event.
